Celebrity Food Trends You Need To Try

#1

Bored of cooking and want to try a new recipe? Why not try one of these delicious recipes that our favorite celebrities have recently shared for your next lunch idea.

Hailey Bieber’s Pizza Toast

You’d be forgiven for thinking that supermodels don’t eat carbs. Supermodel, Justin Bieber’s wife, and practically everyone’s style and beauty muse, Hailey Bieber, recently took to TikTok to reveal her favorite snack of choice right now and everyone went crazy for it. Now #pizzatoast has racked up over 100 million uses. Wondering how to make Hailey Bieber’s pizza toast? It’s simple!

How to make Hailey Bieber’s Pizza Toast

Butter both sides of a slice of sourdough, drizzle with truffle oil and add to a frying pan. Cook until golden on both sides. Next, layer on fresh burrata and sliced tomatoes (that have been dressed in lemon juice, olive oil, and salt), before placing in the oven at 375°F.

Simply cook until the cheese is melted. While it’s cooking, heat up your marinara or tomato pasta sauce. Pour over your pizza. Top with oregano, chili flakes, and parmesan. That’s your WFH lunch sorted.

Gigi Hadid’s Vodka Pasta

Gigi Hadid’s Spicy Vodka Pasta was one of the breakout stars of lockdown, along with banana bread and Stanley Tucci’s Negroni.

People were craving wholesomeness, comfort food, and escapism, and Hadid delivered it in this spicy, creamy pasta with ingredients you probably already have in your pantry. Plus, you can make it without the vodka if you don’t have to hand.

We didn’t need much convincing to try this hearty pasta recipe out. Time to revisit that comfort this weekend?

How to make Gigi Hadid’s Vodka Pasta

Sauté onion and garlic in olive oil, add tomato paste. If you’re adding vodka, add 1 tablespoon and cook until it almost evaporates. (You can leave it out like Hadid though too – Hadid was secretly pregnant at the time!) Next, add ½ a cup of heavy cream and 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes (or more if you prefer it hotter).

Keep stirring until it’s combined. Season with salt and pepper and cook your pasta. Reserve one-quarter of the pasta water, and drain the rest. Add the cooked pasta, pasta water, and 1 tablespoon of butter to the pan.

Stir over medium heat until the butter has melted and in Hadid’s words, “the sauce is saucyyyyy.” Add ¼ of a cup of parmesan cheese and stir. Add more salt and pepper to taste if you need to. This is perfect for a lazy weeknight recipe!

Kourtney Kardashian’s Avocado Pudding

Looking for a healthy breakfast recipe idea? It’s gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free and Kourtney Kardashian counts it as one of her favorite breakfasts and post-workout snacks. It’s avocado, but not as you know it.

In a video, Kardashian revealed that she’s been eating her signature avocado breakfast dish for five years. In the video, her friend, Addison Lee, claims it’s “the greatest thing I’ve ever eaten,” while Kardashian adds that people usually love or hate it.

As recipes go, it’s simple to make, but it does contain a couple of ingredients you might need to look further afield than your local supermarket for – MCT oil and algae extract. Chlorella, a great vegan source of omega 3, is made from algae and is considered a superfood that helps to promote anti-aging and balance mood and stress levels.

How to make Kourtney Kardashian’s Avocado Pudding

Blend the following ingredients until smooth: 1 organic avocado, 1 cup of organic plant-based milk (Kourtney alternates non-dairy options. In the original video, she used homemade macadamia milk), 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder, ¼ teaspoon of MCT oil, 2 teaspoons of manuka honey or dates and 1 stick of blue or green algae extract (Kourtney used BrainON.) Use a scoop of any algae extract you have to hand.

If you don’t have those ingredients, choose the simplified version of the recipe – simply whizz up 1 avocado, 1 cup of coconut milk (or another non-dairy milk option), and 2 teaspoons of manuka honey.

Chrissy Teigen’s Banana Bread

There was no escaping the banana bread in lockdown so when Chrissy Teigen released her take on it, we had to try it.

Teigen has become known for her family recipes, and even released her own cookbook. This banana bread recipe is perfect if your bananas are past their best, or if you fancy something sweet, but want a healthy version!

You can also combine it with your favorite mixers to make it extra delicious. Our favorites are chocolate chips for the sweet, gooeyness, or walnuts for extra crunch! This makes the perfect easy weekend bake. Enjoy warm with a slather of butter.

How to make Chrissy Teigen’s Banana Bread

Preheat the oven to 325°F. In a large bowl, combine six very ripe brown bananas, eggs, and oil. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, sugar, pudding mix, baking soda, and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and combine well but gently. Fold in the coconut and chocolate chunks.

Grease and flour a Bundt pan. Pour the batter into the pan. Bake until the cake springs back when lightly pressed and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (around 55-60 minutes).

Let it cool slightly in the pan then use a butter knife to gently release the cake from the sides of the pan and around the inner circle then flip it onto a plate. Let it cool and cut into slices. Rewarm and serve with salty butter. Dreamy!

Lizzo’s Vegan Ricotta Toast

If you want an alternative to your trusty favorite, avocado toast, look no further than superstar Lizzo’s favorite vegan breakfast recipe – Vegan Ricotta Toast.

Lizzo went vegan for health reasons in 2016 and has become well-known for her vegan recipes going viral on TikTok. Now, thanks to a vegan version of ricotta, we can recreate this simple toast-topper recipe at home.

How to make Lizzo’s Vegan Ricotta Toast

Toast your bread. Fry up cherry tomatoes with olive oil and add salt to taste. Smother toast with vegan ricotta. Layer your cherry tomatoes and arugula on top. Grind fresh black pepper on top and dig in! It’s that quick and easy!
